Linda Mirabile and Adelaide Murphy Tyrol are both wildlife painters and concerned about the status of many species that are becoming extinct or endangered. Using their art as a means of educating and inspiring conservation they organized a traveling exhibit that showcases art of species listed on the IUCN Red list. Participating in the exhibit are 8 artists from around New England that share in the mission to use art to get the message out. Each artist choses a few species that are endangered, paints to life size, and writes a summary of the threats these critters face. The exhibits are ongoing and have been very well received, generating much discussion around conserving our natural world.
