At the Harvard Forest in Petersham, Massachusetts, scientists, researchers, students and scholars from across the region have conducted experiments and collected data on the natural environment for more than a century. Their goal is to understand and aid in their conservation vision of retaining the many benefits of the region’s forests and farmland for future generations.
John Hirsch, a photographer and educator, became aware of the work being done at the Forest through an article he saw in the New York Times. As John states, “It became clear that this work was both visually compelling and material to the contemporary dialogue about land and water use, as well as global warming.” His photo essay became the source of material for his book “And Again.”
We were thrilled be asked to help John create this beautiful documentary of the work being done at Harvard Forest.
